Axle arm brackets: what to look for
i just meant that 410 has been around awhile and knows alot of info. im not atualy trying to tell you to run cut and turned beams, heck i don't even have them! if everything is holding up and you have your steering taken care of, tyhen everything sounds fine to me :)- R.J.

so i was tired of the truck sitting and doing nothing, so i started taking things apart to replace the head gasket. where or what company is a good company for head gaskets? last time i did a head gasket i used a fel-pro set, but that cost me like $250. they sell the gasket set adn head bolts...- R.J.

Axle arm brackets: what to look for
if you build them really strong, they're gonna be stronger then the frame and all that leaverage is going to go to the next weakest point. not to mention the steering geometry that sucks with drop brackets, and drop pitman arms also add a lot of stress on the steering. actauly, your right! they do make strong drop brackets (like skyjacker) but the leverage on them will crack the frame instead of the bracket :rolleyes:- R.J.

splitting the engine and tranny doesn't scare me at all, it just seems to make more sense to me now to keep the original engine in the black and swap trans and 2wd into it. i don't know much about swaping engine's and transmissions, but i know about the suspension on an explorer. i own a 2wd and...- R.J.

yes they do! john knows what hes doing and he knows what he talks about. im not gonna try to campare autofab to Mcneil. but imo they both work well and you get what you pay for with both- R.J.

i've looked but i cn't find alot for 4wd :( i thought you were saying they widen it after the pumpkin like paul b. he said he doesn't like to do it that way for strenght reasons. and the mcneil setup is not that exspensive, its just more then i have :(- R.J.
