2.3L EcoBoost or NA 3.5L?
and as with most issues I know a guy with a 14 F150 with 80K on it, 3.5 ecoboost mill - and hasn't had issue one with deposits, turbo oil pressure, over temps, etc. bone stock I'm sure though he redlines it merging with traffic atleast once per day.- Napalm

2.3L EcoBoost or NA 3.5L?
Actually there is - go down to your nearest autozone or Oriely and there is a intake cleaner spray - it's similar to the fogger for cleaning the MAF and the chemistry is the same as modern carb cleaner. you can with engine at idle - spray that down the intake tube - sticking the spray tube...- Napalm

2.3L EcoBoost or NA 3.5L?
funny so those deposits people love to focus on are the result of PCV oil vapor in the intake stream for emissions control. IE instead of venting like cars used to do - the crank case pressure must be vented into the intake stream of the engine to be burned though and put across the catalytic...- Napalm

I don't know that torque app differentiates the modules - I've only used it once though. littile detail I remembered when I looked into BT OBD modules - not all the BT OBD II scanners talk all the right languages to get the full PID's. Example - not all of them do GMSCAN and ford uses a set...- Napalm

Thank you for mentioning the search and the like. first think I disagree with that recommendation as it pertains to the dynamics of a FWD, forward CG car - the bulk of your braking, acceleration and steering forces are all constrained in the front half of the car. while there could be...- Napalm

it's like every other argument on the web though. you're using the wrong oil, or the wrong oil filter, or the wrong tire etc etc. I wouldn't say you can't make a paper element filter work well - you can. but the issues with crap in the oil due to just the airfilter are absurd to me...- Napalm

I know plenty of people with turbo'd or supercharged cars that also use the K&N or Green filter system and they have no issues. Hell I ran a SC car with a K&N for over 80K miles with NO issues and and no sand/dirt nast in my oil pan either. but you know I didn't just sand dunes either.- Napalm

OK so suppose you have a slightly over 1 year old Ford Exploder - with 31K miles on the clock. and you never bothered to rotate the tires because well they want money, and you don't like the tires anyway. so the fronts wore down pretty good - I recently swapped them back and put the rears on...- Napalm

not entirely true - by reducing the restrictions and allowing it less resistance you reduce drag on the airpump IE the intake stoke. then - the car while programed - does adjustments to the map - so overtime it will adjust to the better flow. can you read the tire pressure through the obd2 port
Sorry I forgot the why - it has to be fully maintainable for the life of the car - DOT requirement. Which means you need to be able to directly read all aspects of the system via the diagnostics system in the event of a failure. So it has to have it's own coded messages . Should be able to...- Napalm

can you read the tire pressure through the obd2 port
It's a DOT certification requirement so all cars with TPMS have to report those though the connector - not all readers can see the code. but if you have something that reads beyond engine and power train - it most likely will do TPMS as well. IE the ones that also gather ABS/Stability and...- Napalm

can you get it without the drilled part. IE slotted ONLY. I would consider that. drilled rotors don't do anything for you. Slots do - but at athe cost of pad life and noise. If you can't do slotted only then get plain ones. my 0.03 are they sized bigger than OEM - doesn't look like it...- Napalm

since powerstop is not part of the centric brand family (as is stop tech) I don't trust them as I used to. But they are probably OK. To the OP - as far as rotors go I would hit up rock auto - find the cost on the motorcraft rotor - then check for a wagner, raybestos, or bendix rotor. if...- Napalm

Regular or Premium Gas
usually as it get hotter the mpg will go down - once out near 100F the likely hood of predetonation goes up - since compressing the air and fuel mix will make it even hotter. so often with weaker octane ratings in the summer in the deep south the computer tends to lower the spark timing. no they do not. or let me be a touch more specific - almost no car on the road today has an OCTANE sensor. Per axle means front or rear. not per wheel - or if someone is advertising that, they can be sued as the industry term is per axle. Look at your parts stores and the like. They sell the pads "per axle" so you'll get both sets of front pads, or rear in the same box. so to speak. But good...- Napalm

They aren't that bad. But I did a quck rock auto search - there is a cheaper 30ish dollar centric rotor, but the wagner is 58. Motorcraft is 59 and then there is a centric preimum that's 67. but it's also pretty coated black etc etc. (something else I avoid). So I wouldn't say they are...- Napalm
