How much power did that bring back? As well as how much modifying I would I need to do the 4406 later then? Fit it in the same hole?- DemonMudder

So, at the local junkyard, transfer case sells for about $130, so with all of the other parts, probably just a bit over $200. Not including the whole V8 and trans swap, hopefully do everything at the same time so I don't have to bother with getting an awd transfer case to hold me over till I can...- DemonMudder

How difficult, much, and long do you think a manual t-case install would be? I'd be doing all three, the 5.0 v8, the transmission for it, and the 4406. Better gas mileage too since I can make it an actual 2wd, as well as it should help with the lack or power to the tires that I currently have. I...- DemonMudder

Well, the ranger bumper fell through, dude meant to set it as a pickup only, won't ship it all the way from Wisconsin down here to Florida, so that's a bust. Back to square one.- DemonMudder

I'll post this up on facebook as well, but I ordered a 98+ steel ranger bumper to throw on. Need ro recoat it, got some surface rust, but overall not bad. Its 3/8 and 1/4 thick, even has two other outer mounts that even the seller isn't sure what were for, says maybe for installing it on a...- DemonMudder

Oh yeah, I'm pretty much going to guarentee one day she'll be straight axled on some 35s at least. But yeah, need the funds and place for it. Depleted my funds a good chunk for the current setup, need to get back to saving and find a job with more pay.- DemonMudder

Let me know how that goes, might as well save some cash. I don't think I get to go often enough or do crazy enough to be worth a new diff, when I either get another vehicle as an offroader or have another daily, it'll be a different story. Like I'd love to straight axle her, but I don't have the...- DemonMudder

I don't go as far as like rock climbing, but there as some areas that I'll attempt climbing up a hill, still not rock climb level but kind of close. What do you think overall would be best? New, stronger diff or just regear mine? Cheaper and easier, more beneficial down the line- DemonMudder

Yeah, I got some of that, but as said, not the most knowledgeable on these. I don't mind doing the detroit one if it's good and worth the price. But what would leaving one steel out for more room do?- DemonMudder

So, I should be able to get these two, take it to a shop, and be done with no issues? Of course I'd buy two of the regearing kit so the front matches and I don't destroy the truck, but it's not missing anyrhing I need? Just take it up with these, ask them to do the regearing and the locker while...- DemonMudder

So now I guess the question is, jump up to 4.56s, or go with the 4.30. I don't ever tow anything, not yet at least, found an amazing deal on a mudder that I may have to break on and tow home and around, but other than that. Could go up to the .56 since eventually I'll be lifting her a bit more...- DemonMudder

Every other week, I'm across the river from work, meaning I have to be on the highway for a few minutes, beyond that its 15 minutes to work on backroads, out of a out a 20 minute drive. So I'll say it again, gas mileage going to be a heck of a lot worse, one or two gallons will hurt but may be tolerable making about 15-16 on average now? Not exactly happy with gas prices these days. And I don't get to trail as much these days due to work and truck work itself, but 4.30s...- DemonMudder

So, opinions, about half my driving most days is highway, or highway speeds. 4.10s from what I can find and figured, aren't happy with that, which is fine, can keep the speed down. But it'll help bring my acceleration and offroading capabilities back after my swap to 32s. But I want y'alls...- DemonMudder

Well she did good on the trls I took, only issue I had was that the 3.73s decided the 32s are too much and had some trouble pushing power. But otherwise it turned out well, the new CV axles handled everything just fine, I'd recommend the Trakmotive ones for others going the TT route. Too bad...- DemonMudder

Well, its finally done. The lift keys didn't fit so I just kept the stock ones and maxed them out, but she looks great! The Trakmotive CV axles seem to be working pretty well, taken through a ditch, up a curb, down backroads and highways, so far so good! Had to trim some of the plastic of the...- DemonMudder

Thanks man, I'd love to order them, but if I go SOA, the skid plate won't help much on top of the leafs and I'm not sure how well they'll work for that? Edit: read through the thread and he confirms with its setup, can't use it with SOA, too bad, would've been nice to have- DemonMudder

Yeah I was curious, what all did you do for your SOA? Would like to crank the keys for as much lift as I safely can, which means the f150 leafs even under the axle may not cut it, to match I may have to do the SOA swap as well- DemonMudder
