Who's Here From Florida?
Anybody still up for planning an offroad trip? Well, more of a trailing trip, for a few of the places I'm not sure anyone will even need 4WD. In the next couple of months I'm working on planning some camping trips in both Osceola and Ocala National Forests, maybe even Apalachicola; can come down...- DemonMudder

Two and a half years...to fix the clunking when I brake hard or turn left...TWO...wasn't the differential, wasn't the cv axles; it was a free 1 minute fix. Literally this stupid piece of plastic around the fuel tank was just hanging off to the side as I drove so the force of a stop or left turn...- DemonMudder

Thanks, it'd be fun for things like truck meets when I finally go and monster jam, go there every year and there's always someone else there with one installed. I do agree sometimes they're fun to hear, but I live by some train tracks so I hear the real thing all the time anyway! Could even honk...- DemonMudder

I've thought about there, but usually at least for the train one, they take a bunch of space. Like a foot long with a few horns, plus a compressor and such for them. I'll make it work, somehow, eventually when I get to it, maybe this summer. I'll figure out a way to wedge it by the stock horn...- DemonMudder

Yeah, that would work great, problem is finding a place for it, especially under the hood. Not a crazy amount of space in there. That's why I was curious about knowing if anyone else had done the same thing- DemonMudder

Well, should have the tires and such ordered in the next week or so. Still deciding on a hitch tire carrier or just throwing the spare in the back or on the roof once I get a basket. Since I can't afford an rlc swingout bumper or anything for a bit. But another old project idea came across my...- DemonMudder

Some edits to get the basic idea of the planned setup. 32" Nitto Grapplers and 16x8" Pro Comps either series 252 (second image) or 69 (last image). The 69 has no offset with the stock backspacing while the 252 has -6.00mm of offset and 4.250 in. of backspacing. Which do y'all think looks better...- DemonMudder

Oh yeah, it starts doing that and it comes off asap. I ain't breaking crap if I ain't got to. Dang, even still huh? I don't figure I'll be able to 100% save it from wobbling at least a little. Just rather have a spare that wobbles a little for a couple months than no spare at all until I can get the swing out. Just knowing my luck, rather not chance having no spare. My brother does some...- DemonMudder

They make some things for the hitch that steady the connection for that exact thing. Now I don't expect it to be crazy effective for a tire carriers weight, but I may try it, can always return the stuff via amazon and try something else- DemonMudder

So the best bet is still to just scratch my hitch or hold off for a new bumper, kind of figured that's where it'd end up. Appreciate the input- DemonMudder

That bad of an idea, huh? Not a horrible idea to add D-Rings, but the idea was to keep my hitch as, well, let's call it insurance. It's a four way hitch, three sizes and a hook; use the hook for recovery, or for insurance that if someone rear ends me, I'm holdin' 'em or at least ripping their...- DemonMudder

What do y'all think of a dual hitch reciever for my standard hitch (mostly as a recovery point) and for a spare tire carrier? The reciever is rated up to 5000 lbs, which I shouldn't even ever get close to for just about anything I do. But when I switch to 32s in the next couple months, I won't...- DemonMudder

I agree on the hitch, can't say I've seen the reciever sit lower like that until today,. And yeah, the warriors honestly are enough usually. I may for laughs and giggles throw these on to see how they looked, but I'd rather stick with the warriors until I swap to some f150 leafs. Spare metal...- DemonMudder

Still ain't found a good set of f150 leafs from the junkyard yet, but I found something else interesting? I've never seen a second gen with a ranger bumper in person, looks decently nice though. As said, just wanted make sure they were up and running, I'm going to clean them up and actually solder them together later. The wire running to the battery is in a tube and should be fine, need to get some more tubing for it. Plenty of zip ties, electrical tape and tubing.- DemonMudder

Well it's done, just in time for work. Different company and flood and instead of spot like the other, but the work! The driver side is also like 300 lumens brighter too, so maybe I'll swap them both for that, little nicer wiring too.- DemonMudder

Yes, as said, I got the passenger light to come on with the reverse lights. So the wiring is correct, except for the driver side. Which means the light probably came with screwed up wiring. Is a Rear Air Deflector Cool and Do These Mud flaps Make My Rear Look Fat? (Trying to minimize getting road gunk on the rear of my X)
Honestly, it looks good, man! Air deflector looks nice, mud flaps too! Does feel like it has a bit more of a stance, but no it ain't too fat. Also, I do have some side questions that are completely off topic though, if ya don't mind me sending you some messages about.- DemonMudder

Solved 4.0 SOHC Ticking Hunt
So, not the timing chain guides, spark plug issue. Longer story short: few months back during their replacement, one had to be retapped and the shop didn't do it well evidently. So that was the cause of the ticking, thankfully simple, but this is why I prefer doing the work myself over taking it...- DemonMudder

Okay, so the ticking was 100x easier than expected based on description and y'alls opinions.
