It sounds to me like the beginning of the Timing chain tick but I am not sure about it. Does it go away after a while or is it constant.

I had that happen on my Durango I had for a while. The Axle broke but it was not as loud as you are explaining. but I heard it.

The 4406 manual will fit but from what I have been reading you will have to get a sport fuel tank as the Manual 4406 will not fit with your normal fuel tank. Also with me I never really drove my Ex with the 4405 and with stock tires. I have always had the 33's and the 1354. But from my other Ex...

The 4406 will not work on the 4.0. You will have to get a 1354 to get out of the Tcase you have now. I have a 1354e in my 97 and it works pretty good.

So I was able to get a lot farther this weekend. To finish I need to finish exhaust, put in TCase, add oil, anti freeze, trans Fluid, power steering fluid. Can’t wait to start her and see how she runs.

VERY Slow. Last weekend I had to work and was not able to work on her at all. The weekend before was at Granddaughters house for her 10th birthday. BUT this coming weekend I will get to work on her. I am hoping to get a lot done. Will see what the Wife has for me to do LOL

I like what you have suggested. Most trails I have done are up in the Central part of Colorado and would be about a 3 to 4 hour drive north. I have not been to trails down in Ouray and this will be new for me also. I am game for anything.
