2nd gen lift question
My lift is new keys and add a leaf and Shackle. My Tire size is 285/75r16 roughly 33 inch tires. I am planning to get extended travel CV axles from Rock Auto and then lift more up front and put stock shackles back on and then do a Spring over axle in the rear. Demonmudder already has the...- WormsExplorer

98 awd to 4x4 transfer case mods?
Yes I did Yes I did do a 1354e for my 97. But I used the plug from the 4405 and wired it to the wires in the 1354. It is in my thread. Its on page two about 1/2ish way down. https://www.explorerforum.com/forums/threads/97-sport-build-number-2.493478/page-2- WormsExplorer

The 4406 manual will fit but from what I have been reading you will have to get a sport fuel tank as the Manual 4406 will not fit with your normal fuel tank. Also with me I never really drove my Ex with the 4405 and with stock tires. I have always had the 33's and the 1354. But from my other Ex...- WormsExplorer

The 4406 will not work on the 4.0. You will have to get a 1354 to get out of the Tcase you have now. I have a 1354e in my 97 and it works pretty good.- WormsExplorer

Sorry for the delay I was finally able to find the Pictures. One is how I have my Shocks mounted and the other is how I have my SOA done. Yes there is another Bolt in the Bottom hole. All I did was ordered a set of leaf string axle perches and welded them on. I took the leaf springs completely out though so I would not have to disconnect the e-brake. welded them on and put the Stock springs back on. I used 2 sets of jack stands and had the axle almost on the floor to get the...- WormsExplorer

NICE!! I cannot wait to see them installed. I am planning to do those axles then torque the heck out of my Keys and see if a SOA (Spring over axle) Will still look good that way. Is my trans fried?
In Ex I replaced my T-case with a 1354e T-case. I used the plug from my old T-case and hooked up the wires to the 1354e case. Hooked it up and it works. Still have my switch on my dash that transfers to 4x4 hi or low. Now I have true @ wheel drive. You can also go the Manual 1354 T-case from a...- WormsExplorer
