    drilled air box??? Other mods???

    I read that someone had their airbox drilled. Is this a good thing to do? What are the benefits and downfalls. Are there any other easy mods that a backstreet mechanic like myself can do that is worthwhile. My X is all factory now but I'm feeling in the mood.:p

    oil loss, but not leaking

    I have a 93 XLT with a 4.0L. It has just over 100,000 miles on it and it uses about 1 quart of oil to 1,000 miles. It does not leave oil marks on the pavement and seem like it uses it more on long trips(highway). Is this a common characteristic of the Explorer, or do I have a problem. If it...
