    89 ranger increase

    i have an 89 ranger with a 2.9 litre 4x4. i am trying to rebuild as much as i can, and am wondering what are some cheap ways to add horsepower. i raced a 97 ford taurus witha 24 valve v6 and just barely beat him, looking for ways to just blow his doors off.

    wondering if this is a good thing to do

    i have a 97 mountaineer with aftermarket exhaust, dual flowmasters, and i am wondering if i were to remove the cats, would it increase horsepower? and make the exhaust sound better or worse?
