    Trans Trouble

    1996 Explorer XLT 4wd Trans quit shifting out of first gear this morning and engine light came on. I headed to Autozone and had the guy read the codes for me. Shift Soloniod B Stuck was the code he got. What can i do to repair this? can I Change it myself? Anyone have a Ford part number...

    Engine temp. very unstable

    The truck runs fine just gets bad mileage. It's a 1996 XLT 4.0 V6 4WD. I thought it was due to the thermostat. It never held a steady temperature, the gauge goes up and down, So today in the freezing cold I replaced the stat with a new 195 unit. After filling and burping it does the same...
