    faulty gas gauge

    i have a 97 ford explorer xlt. just joined the forum yesterday. love it so far. does any one else have the problem of there gas gauge not reading exactly whats in the tank. i can be on the flat and have half a tank and be on a hill and the gas light will come on. whats the problem?:exp:

    4 wheel drive noise?

    [FONT="Arial"]when i switch my 4 wheel drive switch to 4 wheel low, i can hear a "clunk" noise as it engages. is this normal or is something wrong? and if so how major or minor could it be. i alway make sure i have it in nuetral before engaging to 4 low. thanks for any help[/FONT]:exp::exp::D

    :exp:hey its cool to know that theres a group of guys and gals out there who love theres exploreres just as i do. i have a hunter green 97 xlt explorer.Hope to learn alot here and help anyone i can in the process
