    99 xlt horrible gas mileage

    I recently purchased a 99 xlt V6 4X4 with about 45k miles. I drive a combination of city highway and have been getting between 10 and 12 mpg consistently. The truck doesn't smell rich in the least, passed emissions inspection fine, runs smooth as a babys bottom .. I'm pretty much stumped...
