    "check charging system"

    While driving my 2005 Explorer, the check charging system message flashes with the battery icon for a second or two, then stops. A minute or two later, it happens again. After several minutes of this, the computer and all power shuts down for a second or two, then reboots and all power comes...

    My 2005 tranny is grinding...

    My '05 Explorer's transmission started making a grinding noise when going uphill and shifting into a lower gear. Once at the top of the hill and shifting into overdrive, it jerks slightly and the noise stops. It's an A/T V6 with only 41K miles on it. What do you think it is? I had a tranny...
