    noise coming from steering

    ok so when i make right turns(and right turns only) i hear kind of a creaking pop coming from it seems right where my shaft for my steering goes through the firewall, at idle if i am staring at the shaft under the hood i can't hear a thing, but yet when im in the car i can hear it plain as day...
