    92 xlt Bad Trans

    I have a 92 xlt auto 2 wheel drive. My o/d went out (slipping)then the only way to drive was to shift it like a manuel as in 1, 2, 3. Mr Transmission wants $1,600 to fix it .Is this a little high or am I getting the royal shaft?? Thanks for any help
