My 97 Exp has developed an odd habbit of not wanting to start. It cranks fine and the battery tests fine, but it wont always start. I have tried a few things I found searching the forums, fuel pump relay, fuel filter, IAC, connection of crank position sensor to name a few but no improvement...

Are there some codes that will appear via scanning but wont throw a check engine light? I have a stalling problem and I don't want to waste a trip to the dealer to have it scanned if there wont be any as I haven't seen a CE light. Cleaning the IAC valve and MAF sensor haven't helped :(
