    Parking brake cable explanation required

Can someone please explain to me how this parking brake cable setup is supposed to work? I've just replaced the drum shoes (what a PITA!) but there's a lot of slack in the cables so I'm thinking I need to replace those as well. But looking at the picture, I can't even see how they are supposed...

    Sport Trac 03 A/C

So the A/C has never worked on my ST. I caved in to the heat today and thought maybe I'd try a recharge with Red Tek 12a. According to their info, pressure on the low side should be around 38psi when the job's done. When I connected the gauge to to the coupler though, it shot all the way up to...

    Towing ability of 04 ST

I have a '04 ST V6 4x4 LTD. Axle code is D2 which I know means it's a 4.10 Limited Slip Differential. What does that mean with regards to towing capacity? I hear everything from 3500lb up top 7160lb depending on tow package. How can I tell if I have the package which gives me max towing capacity?

    Coolant sensor issue?

The temp gauge on my dash doesn't seem to be working properly. The needle only rises just above the cold mark, and then drops below it again after driving a couple of clicks. I'm presuming the drop is because the thermostat is opening up properly when the engine is warm, and that there must be...

    Wheel size change

My 2003 Sport Trac has 255/70/R16 tires on it. The mags are pitted and the tires are worn out, so I'm looking to buy a new set of both. The local shop says that it might be an idea to run 17" wheels instead and change tire size appropriately. Any comments? Good or bad idea?

    Diff Oil topup

I checked the level on my rear diff and its low. The manual says I should add one of two types of oil depending on axle type. Mine is a D2, which is limited slip. Is that the same as Traction-Loc? Should I use the synthetic oil? If so, when topping up do I need to put in more additive?

    A/C condenser replacement

OK, I'm an idiot. I won't bore you with the details, but whilst working on my new baby (03 Sport Trac XLT) I managed to go and puncture the A/C condenser. End result, a puddle of red oil all over the garage floor. It looks like an easy replacement with only two hoses coming out of the bottom of...
