    cam timing on 4.0 SOHC

    Hi I am rebuilding a '97 4.0 SOHC Explorer engine and looking in the haynes manual it says I need a special ford tool! Is there any other way to do this .... can I make a tool with a welder and an angle grinder :D: cheers Robert

    4.0 questions

    Hi I am butting in a bit here as I don't have an Explorer but I want to get some information. I am in the UK and I have a Sierra XR4x4 and I want to fit the 4.0. I believe that the V6 4.0 OHV engine is basically the same (externally) as my V6 2.9 OHV Cologne engine. Can anyone verify this...
