    2002 delayed shifting

    My 2002 Edie bauer has a delay when put on drive or reverse (with a klunk sound) sometimes on 2nd and 3rd gear. Scanned but no codes. Brought it to a transmission shop and they said that i need to replace the tranny. Is there anything i can do before replacing the trans. Thanks
