    POPPING/BANGING SOUND WHILE IN 4X4

    My 4wd would not engage and I took other and cleaned the transfer motor which fixed the propblem, but know when I engage there is a popping/banging sound and gets worse the faster I am going. Is this the Auto hubs trying to engage? Can anyone help?

    Rear ABS Light on, 91 XLT

    91 XLT rear ABS light has been on for a while (2 years), is there a common problem with this? I am thinking of just unplugging the light so I can stop explaining it to new passengers. Thanks

    New member with problem

    Cool site, glad to join. 91 XLT 4X4 W/ 198,000 ans still rolling. No major problems except now 4X4 not engaging. I can hear the relay in the back clicking and volt meter dips, so it appears its trying to kick. I hate giving money away. Any ideas on what I can do. Anyways, FORD's Rule...
