My 2003 Explorer XLT has 160K miles. I am getting a slight but noticable whine from the rear drive train of the car at high speeds (>50 MPH) when accelerating or when the engine is under load. Noise is gone when I 'coast' or decelerate. There does not seem to be any left/right relationship...
