    Tranny gone at only 250K miles.

    It is the first really cold snap here in Tulsa, and my 2001 ST will not go. I've got a little more than 250,000 miles on it, second engine,(timing chain) and just wondering how much can I expect to pay for a swap out on a rebuilt tranny.

    Rear Wheel Bearing Inspection

    I'm replacing the rear drum shoes on my 2001 Sport Trac, & I noticed that the hubs on both sides will move in and out approx 1/4 inch. Do I need to replace the hub assys or is this Ok? Thanks

    Noise like rock rolling around inside tin can

    I have an '01 Sportrac, - 198K miles, just replaced the engine due to timing chain failure, now I have a noise that sounds like a rock or 1/2 inch nut rolling around inside a coffee can. "mechanic" said that it was the pinion gear, and quoted $650 to fix, Anyone have experience with this? Thanks

    Hi, Paul Denny here, I have a 2001 Sportrac with 197K miles, just got it's second engine, and is still going.
