Less some rolling at idle, my '96 Explorer was running OK ... then I went in for an inspection sticker. Had P codes 420, 171, an 174, so I'm replacing the O-Rings/gaskets on the intake manifold and will see whether the other code is the cat converter or maybe one of the sensors. Anyway ...

Well, like others (I checked the searches) I've been struggling with a passenger window that will go down but not up. After taking the door trim off and playing around with the switches and a test meter, I determined that the Yellow and Red (stripe) lead at the front passenger door was not...

Well, just put +12VDC to the yellow wire and the other lead (I cut the door light leads hanging off the door) to the red wire on the motor and ... PRESTO ... the window went right up. So now I know that it is the Yellow and Red wire at the switch that is not getting + power. Will track that...

Has 2 leads going to the motor, red and yellow. Is this just a case of positive voltage to yellow (ground to red) brings it up and reverse voltage, +12VDC to red )ground to yellow) brings it down? My front passenger window is stuck down. I can hear he relay click when the down button is...

Any clues how to fix/prevent?? OK, OK, I'll admit ... this only happens on AM radio, but darn it, there are some great political talk shows I like to hear. All help appreciated :) !!

Checked under "searches", included terms of dash, indicator, light, etc - in combination or separate - got no "hits" for anyone ever getting behind the dash ... Has anyone out there been behind one?? What am I in for besides scarred hands and lots of swearing :D ??

Grrrrrr ... the one light in the instrument cluster that illuminates the sppeds from 50 to 70 MPH is out (12 o/c on the dash) - all others work ... for now at least. Anyone ever try changing one?????
