    Hello from the newbie, need help

    Thanks for the advice Cleaned the battery terminals then had the alternator checked again to find that there was no current. So I am replacing the alternator.

    Explorer/Mountaineer Ford Repair Book Reference

    OK...Battery light '97 Explorer V6 VIN X At first my battery light was coming on intermittently, now it just stays on. I had the alternator tested and was told that it is fine. I gewt an output ranging from 13.0 to 14.0V, checked with my multimeter. Can you shed some light on the problem.
