    zero trans fluid pressure

update zero trans fluid pressure I changed the epc solenoid and tcc solenoid. Inspected and static tested all others. Also, installed a drain plug in my pan. 10.7 ohm reading was correct for the tcc solenoid same on new one. The old epc solenoid appeared to have a small hole in the end screen...

    5r55e test port?

The detailed answer is on this forum, just do a little more searching. Otherwise my quick answer is there is a test port on the drivers side above the transmission pan before the shift link. It's a little difficult to see but you should see a plug there. Regards.

    zero trans fluid pressure

thinking i thought about that but for both the epc and tcc ;the cost is less than a mercron v refill, new filter and gasket. My labor is cheap but still time spent. The four other solenoids are cheap.I know I still have to complete the refill but I would like to torque the bolts on the...

    zero trans fluid pressure

I have got a lot of information from this forum and appreciate everyone's help. Thanks! Shouldn't the resistance of the TCC solenoid be around 28 ohms. Also forgot to mention I did a visual check of the vb gasket. Appears fine. Fluid in the pan on the second drop was grey but further finger...

    zero trans fluid pressure

more investigation Today I checked all the vb solenoids Epc checked fine around 5ohms. Others checkout at 26 ohms. However the solenoid on the same line (side) as the epc but the at the other end only reads 10.5 ohms and does not have a strong click to it when 12volts is applied. All others...

5R55E lock up - what controls it?

The answer is on this forum, just do a little searching it's a neat fluid change that clears everything out of the torque converter. Once I get my explorer back on the ground and moving, without being pushed, I will definitely try the full clean flush. Regards,

5R55E lock up - what controls it?

I have very limited knowledge but I believe your problem is with The Transmission range sensor. I guess Michigan" Mr. DearBorn didn't notify you. TSB # 962410. zero trans fluid pressure

Did not check with a pressure gauge but with everything together and full of fluid, i let the vehicle idle for about 20 minutes. I have a code reader that reads type II codes do not know if it will pick up trans codes. All codes are normal on my $60.00 reader. Can get a rebuilt trans for $1100. I...

5R55E lock up - what controls it?

O/D light flashing maybe bad assumption I assumed, and that's bad, that the vehicle is not able to move. If it does move and the OD lightis flashing park it and have it towed to the nearest repair station for anaylsis at least. If it does not move I know the situation you are in, towing costs...

    Flashing O/D Light

Shops with the correct equipment can reset the codes but can not make signals ready. I am in NJ with very strict engine codes readouts as far as emissions. Check Engine lite does not even have to be on, some codes will show "Not ready" until a driving cycle is completed. Normally if you drive...

5R55E lock up - what controls it?

trans not engaging. Your problem is similar to mine. When you say the transmission goes though the shift gears do you mean that the shift lever can be moved to each gear. MY 2000 explorer does the same and I have no trans fluid flowing through the system at all. There is no click or actual...
