so the rear subframe on my 97 xlt is shot. it is literally falling apart. the sway bar is detached and the is almost no support for my shocks that bolt into it. would you guys know where i could get a bolt in replacement for this. i wouldnt imagine it would be that hard to find as it just seems...

the 02 sensor wires seem to be ok from what i can see...im guessing that i have to pull the pan to see those wires.....and thats what i did...i turned the key to the on position and left it there...herd a couple clicks...then about 3 seconds later pop...there she goes

well i bled air out of thw system and no 134 came out...theres almost no air in the system now and the air compressor dosnt even kick in

so i made a trip to the junk yard today and i picked up a stock sub enclosure along with the stock amp from a 93 limited and also from a 97 limited...and i got it all for only $30...SCORE!!!...anyway i am thinking of buying an aftermarket sub to fit the enclosure and run the two amps in tandom...

its done in mustangs all the time so i can imagine its not a ton different in the explorer...if anything it would be easier...i myself am going to be doing this soon as i wnt to install a carputer with a double din touch screen in the stereo area then move the cd player to where the ac controls are

ok well i took the accumulator back out and pulled a couple hoses so i was able to geet to it real easy...what i found was not good...the connection right there was completly loaded up with rust...i think when the initial leak started there it caused the connection to be constantly wet filling...

i i went to charge my ac for the first time since i had the truck the other day and as soon as it started going in i couls see a huge leak coming from the accumulator...as you might expect it was completly rusted through...needless to say i ordered a new one and got it in today...i installed it...

ok so i went to check the ckp sensor with the volt meter and i had trouble finding exactly where the sensor is...my repair manual only shows the sohc and 5.0 motors...can anybody tell me if this is the correct sensor... **UPDATE** got back from testing that wire and it put out 1.5 just like it...

ok bud heres the verdict...i turn the key to the on position and let it sit for a while...check engine light stays on...i try and start the motor and let it crank for a few seconds...the check engine light stays solid...dosnt dim and dosnt blink...just a solid light

yea i had them read...it was one code dealing with bank 2 sensor 1 o2 sensor i believe...something about slow response...every vehicle ive ever had the light has stayed on while i tried to start then turned off when the vehicle actually started...i think
