Yeah thats starting to look like my only option. I want to keep it in there so that i could replace the fatory system for the extra space it will give me. I might have to just piggyback another cable connection onto that wire loom and so that i have both types.

It's better to run a higher powered amp lower than it's capacity than it is to run a small amp flat out. Plus there's zero point in buying a 500w RMS speaker if you only run a 200w RMS amp into it for instance.
