    Another quest ….

    I have a similar idle issue, whenever in drive or reverse gears the RPMS drop and hover at around 500 and I experience a rough idle that you explained here. However, one weird aspect is it gets worse when I do things such as turn on the headlights or even turn on the HVAC at all.

    98 Explorer runs out of gas even though the guage shows that it has gas.

    I have a 99' with the SOHC and have the same problem with an inaccurate gas gauge. I went onto the Ford website to buy a new one but they have like 5 different gas caps. I have no clue which one is the right one.

    List your Explorer and the NOISES it makes!

    Dash rattle When im driving on the highway, my 1999 XLT SOHC makes an annoying rattle like a mouse running on a wheel coming from the dash. Trying like hell to figure out how to fix it.

    Hey everyone, I recently bought a 1999 Explorer XLT SOHC with 78,000 miles on it. I don't know what kind of service the previous owner did to the tranny and went to Ford to get service and requested they change the tranny fluid. The service advisor told me the fluid looked OK was a little burnt...
