I was told by the salesman at the Ford dealer to only put in 87 octane in my 2001 sporttrac that i bought. My question is....why, and will anything other than 87 harm my truck like he said it would? Also has anyone else ever heard of this? F.Y.I. 4.0, auto, 2wd

well for starters that clamp setup looks like junk, and I would not trust it. Second all of those allen bolts and billet blocks just increase the cost. Third a simple slip tube design will exceed the clamp in strength and is more low profile so the cage can still be tucked up as far as possible...

Yes, for now twisting the torsions will be fine. I did that to my 01 sporttrac 2wd and it clears 33x12.50s, no mods to the rear, I just leveled it out.
