    3rd gen Explorer Blend Door Actuator Replacement

    Our 2003 Explorer seems to meet all of the symptoms mentioned for a broken blend acuator. Except the clacking noise part. We never had the noise(s), but it will only blow cold air. We have the automatic climate control unit. Could we have something other than a broken blend actuator? Thanks.

    I'm planning on trying this myself. I do have one question though. If we have the automatic climate control, do I need to set the blend actuator to a particular blend before I install it? Thanks.

    Heater temperature problem on a 2003 Eddie Bauer with automatic climate control.

    We have a 2003 Explorer with automatic climate control. The heater and/or defroster will not push out hot air any more. The A/C still seems to work, but we cannot get any hot air. Last week my brother and I pulled the lower dash off of the driver's side to look at the fuse panel. We did not...
