    Thanks for the reply - true, they don't make it easy. However, I already have the parts, and just need the info to do it without damage. All the parts are available (including130A and 200A upgrade stuff) so that's not an issue. But, it would suck to get it half-way apart on the press and...

    Hi all - I need to replace a bad bearing in the '97 Mountaineer alternator, and can't find much for guidance. They go together differently that the previous generations, and I don't want to mangle it. Any exploded drawings or service info out there? Thanks, David

    Hello!

    Doing a 5.0L swap from a '96/7 Mountaineer to a '94 Ranger, built C4, GT40 turbo, MS ECU, blah, blah. Looking for tidbit info and hoping to share some info from doing this. Woohoo!
