Hello Mellang, No tool wrench icon on the dash, actually I've never even seen that icon. Gas mileage is ok and how do I check the throttle position sensor? I'm pretty handy but don't know much about troubleshooting explorers. Your help is much appreciated. Thanks

Hello Fordexplorerguy1, Thanks for the quick reply, I actually started with the simplest test of all once I got it jumped. I went to Autozone and they confirmed I have a bad battery. Since then I borrowed one from a friend and the truck starts right up no problems. Thanks for the help!!!!!

Starter Problem My 2002 Explorer XLS makes a clicking sound at the starter but does not turn on. The Gauges go crazy but no start up. Please help. I missed work today because of it.... :(

Hello All, Nubie here and I also have an 02 Explorer XLS with 99,318K on it. Everything still factory on it and it too has developed several issues which I have worked on lil by lil to get all the lights off of the panel. My Explorer also makes the humming sound towards the rear of the truck...

I also have the ABS light on since my mother gave me the SUV. I would like to clean out the sensor first before putting money into the car. Does anyone know where the sensor is located? Pictures or diagrams would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
