    wow what a lot of work to go thru to then find out its the wrong pump,I wonder if advance auto parts would pay for a new pump and labor to make it right.

    yes I recently replaced the fuel pump several months ago with an aftermarket advance auto parts pump/module assembly and ever since that it has been putting out the po172&po175 codes but the vehicle had been running fine up until a couple of weeks ago when it flooded out and would not start...

    fuel pressure sensor mounted on the fuel rail under the manifold which looks like to me the manifold would have to be removed to get to the sensor. Maybe to check the fuel pressure one would have to unhook the fuel line at the fitting next to the fire wall then adapt between it with a hose that...

    just got back to working on this vehicle, changed all plugs and also changed oil which had had some gas in it from when the vehicle flooded. explorer runs great now but keeps giving codes of po175&po172 (rich codes) I would like to test the fuel pressure but cant seem to find the port to hook...

    well, just got back to working on this no start vehicle, i figured that maybe since it has sat for a short time now that maybe the plugs and cylinders have dried out and maybe it would start. I used the spare key and it started up,idle bad then died so i tryed to restart and it would do nothing...

    I will remove all plugs check/dry all cylinders of gas, dry/check all plugs for fire and clean /check maf and also check air filter and air duct for proper air intake. Thanks

    I wonder if I did have spark prior to the no start/flood condition what caused the cylinders to flood with gas in the first place? I do have a code of bank1 and bank2 running to rich.

    2005 Explorer XLT fuel tank removal HELP!

    Need help figuring out the tricks/tips of removing fuel tank from 05 Explorer XLT so I can replace the fuel pump module. Spent couple of hours just getting the gas out of the tank. Can anyone help? Thanks
