    97 Ranger XLT...unable to program remotes. Dealership wants $450.00 plus to put in new module w/ 2 new key fobs. Can anyone suggest a cheaper method? I have the new module but feel like it should work with my barely used original fobs. HELP !!!

    Yes, Brad. I and the guy at the dealership have both tried reprogramming the fobs but no luck. I am thinking it is the elect. lock module in the panel behind the drivers seat. Any thoughts? Thanks, RM

    My 97 Ranger XLT has elect. locks. They work from inside the truck to both lock and unlock the doors. I am unable to make the key fobs work. I have put new batteries in both key fobs.
