i checked all the cables and its all hooked up right. it is a new starter from oreily. the wierd thing is it only does it after it starts. if i just turn the ignition to run it doesnt do it, like its a shorted solenoid. maybe the solenoid on the starter is sticking?

i just replaced the starter on a 92 explorer, and now its staying on whenever the engines running. i also replaced the positive cable and fender mounted solenoid. before i replaced the cable i jumped it with some jumper cables straight from the starter to the battery, and it worked fine, but...
