    Towing without Tow Package

It was the 3.5V6. But this thread is 9 years, 2 Explorers and 1 divorce old.

How to: New Forscan Update Allows Module Programming

Got the double honk taken away. It's a little disorienting at first. Can't seem to figure out the climate control in the right screen. I remember it being in our 2011 XLT.

WTT 2014 2nd Row Buckets for 60/40 (Black Leather)

As subject line says - I'd like to consider a trade of our 2nd row perforated bucket black leather seats for a black leather 60/40 setup. Located in Beaumont, Tx.

Wanted to trade - Bench seat for Bucket

This is an old post, but did you ever find someone to trade with?

2nd row Buckets to Bench Seat?

So, I can't remember how our 2011 was setup. I know we didn't have the push button on the panel that automatically flips them forward. You're saying just unbolt the frame from the buckets and then put a 60/40 in? If so, I need to start looking for people who want to trade. I'll gladly go over to...

2nd row Buckets to Bench Seat?

Did you ever get any further on this? I'd be interested in seeing what the mounting hardware looks like. Also, does the 60 seat slide forward or tilt forward like the buckets? We have a 2014 Limited with 2nd row buckets and the inflatable belts. It's hard to give rides to anyone because our...

How to: New Forscan Update Allows Module Programming

:-D Thank you, but I stopped running those on my 90's model trucks. I did like the non-BLIS mirrors with the built-in convex setup. Wish they would do that WITH BLIS.

How to: New Forscan Update Allows Module Programming

Which mirror button, and mine doesn't tilt at all when going into reverse. I have all 3 memory spots programmed on ours (1 - Wife, 2 - Me, 3 - All back / open) My Acadia did this automatically and it was a great feature. The high belt-line and rake of the Explorer leaves a blind spot down low...

How to: New Forscan Update Allows Module Programming

So fired up the ol' Surface and decided to play around in the Super Duty and Explorer. On the Explorer, I wanted to disable the double honk, and I wanted to enable the Climate controls in the right IPC. However, I'm missing all of these particular lines Door Close Double Horn Honk (Engine...

    60,000 Mile Maintenance & Goodies

That's the problem, I kept coming across things for the Sport. Google results are Sport. The search can be useful, but often overlooked is that it requires a certain number of characters (I believe 3), and there's issues with different terminology and poor spelling/grammar that confound the...

    60,000 Mile Maintenance & Goodies

Rapidly approaching the 60k mark in our 2014 Limited. We never made it far enough in our 2011 to worry about brakes, struts/shocks, etc. I'd like to go ahead and do some minor enhancements to the brakes, suspension and engine/exhaust all at once. Are there any reputable vendors with...

    Suspension differences - 2017 Sport/Platinum vs. XLT/Limited

I have the 20" wheels. Just put yokohamas on recently, stayed pretty close to the factory size which think is 255/50 - 20

    Suspension differences - 2017 Sport/Platinum vs. XLT/Limited

I assume this is true for 2011 - 2018 models since there's only been a cosmetic redesign. That being said, is it just a matter of ordering the springs and struts to get a "sport" suspension on a 14 LTD?

How to: New Forscan Update Allows Module Programming

Like showing the map in the right-hand dash screen? That would be great. Mine shows turn-by-turn but that's about it.

How to: New Forscan Update Allows Module Programming

I enabled it. I really only notice a difference in the Pop setting. Any others don't seem to have an effect.

Tunes for the N/A 3.5L Explorers

I guess my question is this - if it's truly a customized tune, I should probably do the intake and exhaust beforehand so that they can write the tune to account for the increased airflow. I'm familiar with the process. My Super Duty is modified and tuned. There are platforms that allow...

Tunes for the N/A 3.5L Explorers

I've heard/read the same and for the most part concur. Had I not been on a 500 mile trip and run both directions in similar conditions (I'm a cruise control fanatic), I would completely believe that it's a placebo. It's not a huge gain, just mild. On my older vehicles I'd get a knock when...

Tunes for the N/A 3.5L Explorers

2014 N/A 3.5 V6 FWD Here come the questions: I'm seeing that there are different tuning profiles for different octane ratings. Are all of these loaded at once, and the ECM/Tune does the rest? Or could I only run 92/93 on that file? I usually run 87 day-to-day, with 93 going in for long trips...

    PedalMAX

The last time I looked at Livernois they weren't tuning the NA engine, but I see now they have a 31HP file. Is that claimed at the wheel or at the crank? I don't know that $550 for 31HP at the crank is a worthwhile investment from my situation.

    PedalMAX

I have a friend who is running the PedalMax in both his Edge Sport and his Super Duty. He's also running the boost controller on the Edge. I will say, that Edge moves. I'm looking at ways to make my N/A 3.5 be a little less gutless. It's frustrating sinking the pedal to 50% and there being no...

    SYNC2 Map Update - Version A8

What years (approximately) are the versions? I.e. if I have a 2014 that's never been updated what would I have? Next question - If it's possible to just copy the map card onto a new SD card, which seems to be what's happening, is it against forum rules to share the data through google drive...

Bambi mode for 2014 Explorer Sport - FORscan

Looks good. I may start playing around to see if I can get the climate menu back onto the right productivity screen like it was in 2011.

Bambi mode for 2014 Explorer Sport - FORscan

they refernced a bdycm setting above for bambi mode. looking on the link you supply theres nothing for bambi mode on the bcm settings.

Bambi mode for 2014 Explorer Sport - FORscan

I'm not seeing the actual BCM settings you're referencing in the spreadsheet. Actually, not seeing much at all in there. I did enable the EQ settings, nav in motion, tried to set the parking lamps as DRL, but that didn't work. Going to do bambi mode next.

    Explorer A-Pillar Rattle/Noise

It's higher up on the pillar. I thought about the cowl after I had a similar issue on my F-350.
