    Just found you! - 2005 Ranger Plug Wire Question

    It fully surrounds the wire. I think you have to pinch the end of the clip together and then slide them apart. But like I said, I've not worked on my own vehicles in years. I think I can get a picture. Chuck

    Avter drawing blood attempting to change the plug wires on my Ranger, I went to the computer to find help. This forum came up in my search, so here I am. Been a long time since I worked on my own vehicles. A little background: I have a 2005 Ranger 4wd, FX4 with extended cab. Love my truck...
