No Overdrive 1992 Explorer A4LD
Aamco did a free electronic check and determined that the problem IS internal :( . I guess I'll just drive it without Overdrive for the time being and then either take the $$$ plunge for another rebuild or get myself a new car. I took a Subaru XT out for a test. WOW ! I won't be...- Bobshere

No Overdrive 1992 Explorer A4LD
Today, I brought the '92 to the outfit that did the rebuild on the tranny 26k miles ago. They said it is definitely going and they (therefore) didn't need to check out why there is no present overdrive. Hmmm. If I want to keep driving it and HAVE overdrive, presuming the problem is not...- Bobshere

No Overdrive 1992 Explorer A4LD
I am getting NO overdrive (ever) in my 1992 Ford Explorer (A4LD). In this year the only thing "computer" on the transmission, as I understand it, is the sig to the 3/4 overdrive selenoid.
