    09 explorer harsh downshift when stopping

    HI, I have a 2009 explorer 4.0 xlt and i just bought it a few days ago. It downshifts really hard from 2 - 1 when coming to a stop or slowing below 15 mph. Just trying to figure out if this is common and how involved is the fix. thanks for any help.

    hi. new to site and explorers. Trying to find out model of trans in my 09 explorer with 4.0 v6. I have a harsh 2 - 1 downshift and want to make sure I get info on right tranny.
