Make sure you check the carpet under the spare tire cover. Mine was soaked, matter of fact, the dealer replaced the carpet, spare tire cover and made two attempts to fix the leak. Just got it back yesterday after being at the dealer for 2 weeks. We'll see if it's fixed.

I'm happy to report, I had the fan changed on mine today and MAN, what a difference. I'm sorry I waited this long to have it done. The fix IS a replacement, and don't accept any other alternative. :D

Some have had the fan replaced and the buzzing came back in a few days. I don't know if there's been an official TSB or factory fix for the issue.

Has anyone gotten any long term resolution on this issue? I've reached my wits end with this damn noise.

I have the same issue with my 2013 Limited, it drives me nuts. Hopefully, Ford will issue a TSB for a fix. Sounds like a bad batch of fans or maybe they changed vendors.
