    2003 transmission problem :(

    Hi, I'm new here, but not new to the explorers on my 3rd one now. I live in Australia and have a 2003 UR explorer V6 4L build date April 03 with 160,000 kms, (100k miles approx) My trans is not making 3rd gear...it shifts to all gears smooth with no problem. I had it plugged in and 2codes...

    Hi from Down Under

    Hi from Far north Qld. Love my explorers im on my 3rd one now I have a 1999 bush basher and a 2003. Hope it goes well with your timing chain they can be a *****! You definitely need to get hold of some specialty tools to do it as no timing marks and being an interference motor one slip up...
