My experience is pull the trans and rebuild it. I have seen several where reverse goes away and the forward gears are not far behind. When my wife's did this a piece of the broken band went between the drum and the case and cracked the case. Done deal. Needed a new case too. Greg

Yep, put a fuel pressure gauge on it and go for a spin and see if the fuel pressure gets funky when it starts to fall on it's face. Also pull the vacuum line off of the regulator and see if there is fuel in the line. Greg
