torque converter 1998 4.0 sohc
My overdrive light stays on periodically, when this happens I do not have overdrive. Other times the it drives just fine. I brought it to be diagnossed at ford and they said it was the torque converter. Any thoughts? Is it a big job? They wanted $1.900.00. Needless to say the price is almost...- jborn

front end noise
I have a noise on the drivers side front that is more prevelent when the truck is torqued ie going into my driveway when one wheel hits the lip before the other or going over snoow ripples. I had the front shocks replaced with no luck the mechanic says everthing looks tight. Any help is...- jborn

Roughness in SOHC V6?
Ibrought in my 98 X for noise and rough idle and they replaced the top and bottom chain guide and the balance shaft. Now it runs great but I,m wondering if I should'nt sell now? Does anyone have good things to say about this engine? Are the new parts better than the old? Let me Know . Jeff- jborn
