1996 Exp - 4.0 4WD - P0756 advanced troubleshooting assistance
Update An update; zeroing in on this as an ECU issue; disconnected the bulkhead connection to the ECU, inspected the pins (no issues), reconnected the connector. 2 days of driving so far and problem has not reappeared, trans is shifting normally in all driving modes. 1996 Exp - 4.0 4WD - P0756 advanced troubleshooting assistance
Hello all, I have a 1996 Explorer 4.0 4WD 4R55E with about 135K on it. When I got it 2 years ago, it had really bad shift behavior; I put a rebuilt valve body on the transmission from a rebuilder off Ebay; it came with all solenoids, etc. That settled things down for awhile.This truck doesn't...- Marcopolo
