I'm probably misunderstanding your meaning here, but you should be stopped in neutral with your foot on the brake to engage or disengage 4Low. It usually makes a pretty noticeable "thunk" noise. Glad everything seems to be working!

The 4Hi, 4Low and O/D Off lights were all burned out when I bought my 03'. I'm guessing that's all your problem is.

20" light bar in the grill. Also have a 44" curved bar mounted to the roof racks but don't have a good picture yet. I ran the wiring through one of the holes under the kick panel trim that is behind the B pillar.

Thanks for the explanation. Yeah, it was super easy to figure out once I got the part, especially since I don't have the brush guard. Just need to pull the bumper cover off now so I can trim it and the crash bar to fit the GMC/chevy tow hooks I got.

I like it too, think I'll have to steal the idea for use on mine :) What kind of modification did it take to fit the tow hook brackets?

There are several pass throughs that are sealed with rubber plugs that run the length of the cab floor on each side. Just pop out the plastic kick panels that run along the floor and you can find them under the OEM wiring. I just popped one of the plugs out and drilled a hole for my grommet when...

I'll be trying to track down the same problem on my 03 this weekend. Here is the diagram for the charging system. From the 03 manual but probably the same for yours. Seems like you could be right, may have a short. I'm assuming the dealer checked for parasitic draw when you took it in?
