    2000 explorer won't start when outside temp is to hot

    Replaced battery still did not fix. Removed starter and had tested at parts house and tester good. Dis some more investigation and was reading 0 volts at the ignition cable at starter. Can get truck to start after some wiggling of key and cylinder. Could this be a ignition switch or cylinder...

    The battery does need replaced and I plan on doing so but my problem seems to only happen when outside air temp is hot. Would the battery cause that?
