HF or VHF? Thanks ElevatorGuy. I am thinking right now just a dual band VHF/UHF rig, slid under driver seat. IF I can find a decent path out to the battery for the power cable. I have HF rig and a screwdriver antenna I used in my previous vehicle, but I am not going to go the trouble...- jcvv

Hello to everyone. I just bought a 2010 Explorer with 65K miles in fabulous condition. I traded in my 2002 GMC Envoy, decided to go Ford due to maint costs on the GMC and the crappy air conditioning that GM tends to have. Anyway, I like to do minor repairs myself, and am a ham radio...- jcvv
