I have been reading the various threads on this forum and based on what I read and the symptoms my '98 XLT is showing, it sounds like I MAY have an exhaust leak. How can I tell if I do besides seeing an obvious big hole in the manifold? Would an exhaust leak explain my sluggish performance...

I need help!! My '98 XLT SOHC is not running right. I have valve chatter and the engine seems to "flutter" at times. When I accelerate, sluggish is an understatement. I have changed the plugs, wires, seafoamed, and put in a K&S filter. I have no codes showing. Any ideas where to look next?
