    Thanks Bill I think I'm going to take the chance and do the trans fluid, filter and transfer case fluid. I can only imagine what the fluid will look like. Good tip on the trans fluid as well.

    Hey gang Just got a 2006 Explorer Limited 4.6 4x4 (My first Ford ever) with 142,000 miles on it from a family member. The Explorer was well taken care and have a stack of paperwork. Wondering about the trans fluid and filter. There is no service records and the ford dealer has no record of it...
