    Fuel pump noise

    The noise is pretty continuous and occurs when the truck is idling as well as when it's moving. The pitch is pretty consistent and doesn't change with speed. I've owned the vehicle for over a year and I definitely haven't heard it before.

    I'm concerned that I might have a problem with my '02 Explorer fuel pump. The truck has developed a whining noise that is loudest around the rear wheel well.
