    P2135 after TPS replacement

Been some time and wanted to post some of my discoveries which maybe help others. The water leaking, the source was actually the windshield washer sprayers. Yes then ones on the hood that are perfectly over your rear 2 cylinders, my mechanic doused the rig with a water hose and still couldn’t...

Water leaking into #4 sparkplug (what's the fix)?

I just wanted to add a few things since I just ran into this water in both rear coils/cylinders . I have found that 2 of my cowl clips on the driver side to allow water in and also my windshield washer nozzle ports allow water in. Weird thing is the nozzles aren’t broken but the gaskest at the...

    P2135 after TPS replacement

Update** So I replaced a no name COP (used an Accel) on cylinder 4 in the back corner passenger side. My concern was it may possibly be interfering with the cables/wire harness back there giving me the P2135 code (since I’ve replaced everything 1-2 times already). It solved my issue and my...

Found my ghosts in the machine

I wanted to updated everyone, I purchased another coil pack just for that odd one in the back. I haven’t heard the greatest reviews but I purchased an ACCEL coil for hard to pass up price to test this out. I installed it late last night and of course drove my normal commute today and it was like...

Found my ghosts in the machine

I checked last night and I have 6 OEM COPs, which 4 are on the driver side bank. I have a Denso and a no name that’s at the last cylinder (#4) on the firewall near all the wiring and PCM. I would presume the Denso would be a okay with my knowledge of Toyota’s main brand. I’ll switch out the COP...

Found my ghosts in the machine

Funny you mentioned COPs, I just watched a video about those coding transmission issues if they’re cheap coils or failing. P2135: What the P2135 code means. This particular trouble code indicates that the Power Control Module (PCM) has detected an erroneous reading regarding the voltages...

Found my ghosts in the machine

I haven’t attempted yet, this is what I did about the 20th of October for the first time in the photo after I kept getting the P2135 code every few miles. I stopped when I ran into the next bundle of wraped tape under the plastic. I also went down to the MAF (it looks brand new too) while I was...

Found my ghosts in the machine

Thanks Beachcomber86 for leading me to this post. Potatoexplorer did you ever go back over your harness and attempt the mini harness and did it work for you? I just did some of mine nearly 2 cylinders back on the passenger side when I noticed the the next round of factory taping and decided not...

    P2135 after TPS replacement

Thanks for the prompt reply’s, I’ll have to look into the throttle body motor connector. Butch-Explorer did you just separate the two cables and how far did you go into the driver side harness above the valve cover? Imp I’ve been debating on the wire harness, I like your idea more for not...

    P2135 after TPS replacement

Did you ever figure out the issues, just purchased my 2007 4.6l and tried most of what you listed above. 2TPS sensors Total throttle body Gas pedal. Haven’t tried the COPs yet. I cut back the wire harness to see if there was an exposed wire, but no luck. Thanks, Nick

    Slow coolant loss on V8

So the Dorman part worked for the most part, the lower hose that leads to the rear, it’s clamp was too big. I ended up using the original hose clamp and it has been holding for my test engine run. About to put the fender well together and tire then take it for a test spin.

    Slow coolant loss on V8

I want to thank everyone for the content in this thread. I’m new and just created my account and purchased an 07 explorer knowing there was a leak but didn’t locate it immediately. The one in this thread was one another was the overflow bottle. I was able to purchase replacement part from...
