That sequencing hasn't worked for me. The one thing I did find out, in the owner's manual no less, is leave the drivers door open, lock it twice with the remote. It'll chirp twice, and you can close the door. 2 chirps means no alarm.
I have this same thing happening. I think I've narrowed it down to a power drain problem where the battery goes below a certain level and then the alarm goes off.
Until I can figure out where the drain is, how can I disable the alarm? This is the factory alarm or pats or whatever it is. It's...
